Jayco Travel Trailers

Continuing with family week, nothing sleeps more, has a better new warranty and can still be towed with a half ton truck than a Jayco Travel Trailer.  It sleeps 10, has a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty and a 1 year road side assistance,  and still only weighs 7300 lbs.  If you want to sleep a football team and not break the bank Jayco is tough to beat. Happy RVing!

Fleetwood Tioga Ranger Class C Motorhome

With Thanksgiving still in the air, and my pants fitting tighter, I thought I would do a family week. The Fleetwood Tioga Ranger class C motorhome is buillt for just that, plenty of sleeping, able to tow a boat or toys and wont break the bank. The Tioga Ranger motorhome can sleep up to eight and still tow 5000 lbs. So, if you're looking to take a basketball team or just the two of you it fits the bill. Happy RVing!

Jayco Melbourne

If you are looking for a motorhome that has a lot of space, but smaller than a class A motorhome, look no further than the Jayco Melbourne motorhome. It has three slides, two in the living space and one in the bedroom. The Melbourne is in the class C or B+, depending who you talk to. It is narrower than a class A and still can tow 5000 lbs. Happy RVing!

Smaller B and B+ Motorhomes

I’ve been talking quite a bit about class A motorhomes, so I thought the next few motorhomes are going to be small B and B+. With the rising price of fuel, some guests just don’t want a big motorhome and the manufactuers have listened. Nothing fits the bill better than the Fleetwood Qwest. It is 24 feet long, has one slide and the guests and reps are telling us over 20 mpg. The qwest is on a sprinter chassis and has a Mercedes diesel motor. It can tow 3500 lbs and is not much longer than a suburban. It is very easy to park and drive while sleeping up to 6. It is a must see for anyone looking for a smaller motorhome. Happy RVing!

2011 Tiffin Allegro Breeze

We got our first 2011 Tiffin Allegro Breeze 28 ft rear diesel pusher in stock. Since I have been in the RV business, customers have been asking for a true diesel pusher under 30 feet. Tiffin motorhomes has done what everyone said could not be done, a 28 ft. rear diesel, air suspension diesel motorhome. They've accomplished this by building there own chassis, using a shorter diesel motor and moving the fuel and water tanks foward. For a 28 ft. motorhome, it has ample room in the living area with a walk around queen bed in the bedroom. Happy RVing!

2011 Fleetwood Expedition/Discovery Motorhomes

Mark Lombard with Fleetwood motorhomes did some training today on 2011 Expedition/Discovery motorhomes.  His main focus was on their new bridge platform, which enables Fleetwood motorhomes to have full wall slides.  They are tubular steel instead of c channel, which enables the platform to be much stronger and more ridged giving much heavier and bigger slides.

West Palm Show Update

The first day of the West Palm show was a success. The show sold approximately 500 tickets and the traffic was good with a lot of interest in shorter diesel and gas motorhomes. Typically the West Palm show is a weekend show, so it was good to see a good turn out as early as thursday. Happy RV'ing!

2011 Itasca/Winnebago Sunstar 26p

The 2011 Itasca/Winnebago Sunstar 26p is one of the shortest class A motorhomes on the market today. It really is amazing how much room there is for only 26 feet long. The Sunstar has two slides giving it a walk around bed in bedroom. As with all Itasca/Winnebago motorhomes it has a fiberglass roof. It can tow 5000 lbs and has surprisingly lots of storage. Happy RV'ing!

2011 Newmar Baystar 2901

I've been talking a lot about shorter diesel motorhomes so I thought I would talk about shorter gas.  The 2011 Newmar Baystar 2901 is unique because it's one of few motorhomes with a super slide in the living area and a slide in the bedroom.  It's only 29 feet long and has ample space.  As you know, in my humble opinion, Newmar builds the best motorhome for the price.  All of their motorhomes are built on the same line, so whether your looking at the most expensive to entry level motorhome they are all built the same. Happy RV'ing!

West Palm RV Show October 11 - 14th

Looking forward to the West Palm, FL show this weekend. We have always done really well at this show and it gives the consumer an opportunity to look at the new motorhomes and travel trailers at their own leisure. RV shows give the customer a wide range of product at one location in a relaxed environment. It is a great place to get educated whether you are new to the RV industry or have enjoyed RV'ing for many years. A lot of times these motorhomes are specially priced along with alternative finance options just for the show. Happy RV'ing!

2010 Itasca Meridian IKP34Y/Winnebago Journey Express WFP34Y Class A Diesel Motorhome

It is really good to see that motorhome manufacturers are listening to the public and coming out with shorter, roomier, diesel pushers and the Winnebago motorhome is second to none. They aren't going to give you the flash and the bling, but they are a solid coach with a workmens like decor/attitude. Winnebago puts fiberglass roofs on all of their products even though the cost is much more than rubber. The Winnebago Journey Express WFP34Y and the Itasca Meridian IKP34Y leave little doubt that a lot of thought was put into the floorplan. The drivers side full wall slide gives this 34 ft motorhome the feeling of something much larger and being under 35 ft, it is accepted in 99% of all state and federal camp grounds. I have been selling Winnebago/Itasca motorhomes since the first time I stepped onto a lot 11 years ago. Winnebago/Itasca have been building motorhomes for decades and through that time they have always been considered one of the safest and dependable motorhomes on the market and they still prove that year after year. Happy RV'ing!

Newmar Motorhome Update

I got a chance to walk through all of Newmar's new floorpans and the one that striked me of all of them was the 34 ft Ventana Quad Slide. I have never seen that much room in a 34 ft motorhome ever. The layout is so spacious. Just check out the pictures...

Searching for the best Motorhome

There are many brands of motorhomes on the market, so make sure to choose one that comes from a reputable manufacturer. Quality and safety should be a major concern before purchasing. Deciding which manufacturer makes the best motorhome is based on the amenities available and personal opinion.
My personal opinion there are four motorhome companies that rise above the rest.  Those being; Newmar, Tiffin, Winnebago, Fleetwood. Happy RV'ing!

Newmar Motorhomes

Looking forward tomorrow to see some of the new colors and floor plans from Newmar Motorhome Corp. In my humble opinion, Newmar makes the best built motorhome for the money. I will let you know what I see. Happy RV'ing!

Fleetwood Revolution 2011

I recently looked at the 2011 Fleetwood Revolution 42 ft. motorhome. The interior space is the biggest I have ever seen in a motorhome. Fleetwood says it has over 400 square feet of living space. When compared to other coaches in the same price range, you can see that Fleetwood put a lot of thought and effort into their design. The only length it comes in is 42 ft. with 3 floor plans. This motorhome would be perfect for someone who wanted to full time due to the storage and living space. Thanks and Happy RV'ing. www.motorhomehelper.com

The Big Motorhome Debate...Gas or Diesel

When deciding on whether to buy a gas or diesel motorhome, there are some questions you need to ask yourself. How long are my trips? How far will I be driving? Where and what kind of camp grounds do I like? What kind of budget do I have? If you are taking long trips and driving far I would recommend a diesel motorhome. They are heavier and have air suspension, which will handle wind better. Oh and one more thing they have lots of power. Depending on where you like to stay in your motorhome the length could be a issue. All in all gas motorhomes are shorter, and some RV parks especially state parks only take 35 ft and under. Diesel motorhomes are roughly $50 to $100,000 more expensive than a gas motorhome. You can buy used diesel for about the same money as a new gas motorhome. If you're taking short trips and like to take your motorhome with no restrictions there are a lot of nice gas coaches out there that won't break the bank. I hope this helped and if you have any questions contact me here. Happy RV'ing!

Tiffin Motorhome Factory

Just toured the Tiffin Motorhome factory, it was very impressive. His service is the best in the country. There was approximately 120 motorhomes there for service all staying for free. Got to look at the new Breeze and it was very well designed; 28 feet long, rear engine diesel with air suspension and breaks. If you are looking for a shorter rear engine diesel you cannot help but be impressed. Happy RV'ing!
